Kit List

Please ensure all items are named with the attendee's full name so any lost property can be returned at the end of camp. 

This kit list is only a suggested list, if you have any specific questions please speak with your leader.

  • Full Uniform including group neckie– to be worn on arrival & departure - WEAR

  • Sleeping bag 

  • Camping mat 

  • Warm outer jacket

  • Waterproof jacket and trousers

  • Trousers and shorts (not jeans)

  • T shirts & shorts

  • Warm pullovers including at least one fleece layer

  • Pajamas (or something to sleep in)

  • Underwear, socks

  • 2 pairs of sturdy footwear - Hiking boots or walking shoes or wellies

  • Wash bag (inc. personal toiletries), towel

  • Dish towel

  • Plate, Bowl, Mug, Knife, Fork, Spoon
    [all in a draw string bag - recommended]

  • Water bottle – ideally 2 one litre bottles

  • Torch (head torch or hand torch)

  • Spare polybags (for wet and dirty clothes)

  • Sun cream & hat

  • Midge Repellant/Net (optional but recommended)

Notes:

​

  • Penknives - these will not be required at the camp and will be provided by the camp.
     

  • Drugs/medication – please hand to the leaders, clearly marked with Scout’s name and dosage, at the start of the camp, except for medication that Scout must have with them at all times, eg. InhalersMobile / Smart Phones, etc. – these will not be required at the camp.
     

  • We would ask you not to let your Scout bring a phone to the camp. Any Scouts that are found to be in possession of a phone may have it confiscated and returned at the end of the camp.
     

  • In the case of an emergency please contact your section leader in the first instance otherwise alternatively you may contact the emergency camp number. This will be published on the website closer to the event. We cannot accept responsibility for personal clothing and effects and we are not insured in respect of any such items so please do not bring valuables and ensure all items of clothing and footwear are clearly marked with Scouts full name.
